A week off!

This past week was exciting because Brandon finally got some time off work. Because Brandon's the new guy at work, we knew it would be tricky getting time off so he chose a random week! We really wanted to focus on working on Mason's room, painting, and finding fun activities for Mason. 

I think Brandon is starting to hate Pinterest! I find things I love and feel compelled to do the same project or one similar. That means lots of work for Brandon and lots of planning for me ;). Mason had one wall in rough shape. Lots of holes, missing drywall, paint globs. So we made the decision to panel it with some wood to hopefully hide some of the imperfections. The other walls were in pretty good shape so we painted in passive gray by Sherwin Williams. I like this gray because it has a hint of blue in it. It was also the same color as his nursery in AZ! 

We also went up to Brandon's mom's house for the weekend. It felt nice to get out of the house and relax! I was also able to do a fun sewing project while I was there. Renee guided me and showed me how to properly sew curtains. I am so happy with how they turned out. I'll take a picture of them hung next week.

Brandon and Mason are on a playdate right now. I feel like I don't know what to do with myself for these 3 hours! ha! I try to remember life when I had alone time and it's kind of hard to imagine lol. I'm off to clean this crazy mess of a house before my guests arrive this weekend. Lots of babies and toddlers coming I can't wait! :)
