It's been awhile!

Wow I can't believe it's been over a year since I was blogging! With how busy mom life is on top of our move to Michigan, I completely forgot about it. Whoops! I decided I wanted to start back up to start sharing some of the things going on in our lives especially for those people we don't see very often. Also, it's nice to have a place to vent and think!

To be honest, I really thought starting to blog again may help me with my mom's passing along with this crazy time as a young mom in a new city! There have been sooooo many changes in my life since I was on here it's almost crazy. The changes are as follows:

1.) Mason was born
2.) Lost mom 5 months later
3.) Got transferred to Michigan
4.) Bought a home

Sooooo many changes has really changed me in so many ways. I still feel like the old Christi but almost a stronger and wiser version of her. I look back at myself 10 years ago and laugh because I honestly don't even know that person anymore! Sounds strange but it's completely true. A downfall to some of the changes is a lot of my "pep" has been shattered. I am slowly regaining it back but I know it will take some time. So enough sad stuff! Let's get on to some happy things. We have been working so hard on making our house a home! I know some friends have yelled at me on why I haven't put up pics of our new home but the reason is there's a lot of work to be done!

So far we attempted to refinish the hardwood floors ourselves which was an epic FAIL! Never ever finish them yourselves people!  After hiring an amazing company we finally have the color and look we want. Here is a peak at the room we have finally finished.

The funny thing is the only "new" items to the room are the rug and curtains. Everything else is from the home in AZ! Rocco has already puked on this rug 3 times. What the heck dog? I swear he does it on purpose. It feels good to cozy up with my family in this room and enjoy looking at the weird little creatures in our backyard! (minks, rabbits, coyotes, and squirrels so far!)

Mace man has been adjusting well to moving back to Michigan. The only issue we are having is his sleeping. He seems to have night terrors a lot which has led to Brandon picking him up and bringing him in bed with us. I know I know...not good! However, I would rather him feel safe and secure with all this change then be scared at night! Poor guy...I feel so bad! I hope making his room similar to how it was in AZ and keeping things "normal" will help him adjust easily. Anyone reading have suggestions? I would love to hear them! Here are some pictures of the Space man.

Isn't he a little peach?

I am going to do my best to write at least once a week! I have really missed it and enjoy keeping some things more private with close friends and family. Have a great weekend!
