Hope everyone is having a great week! This week has been a little nuts for us here. Poor Mason has another fever which makes it fever number 4 in the last 3 months. I have been researching what could be causing all these fevers because the doctors seem to just think it's another viral infection. The more research I do the more I realize there are a lot of parents like me out there who are baffled on why their toddler keeps getting fevers without many other symptoms! There is actually something called recurring fever syndrome in toddlers and I'm thinking that may be something Mace is dealing with. I'm hoping his fever goes down tomorrow so he can have a good weekend.
I had a baby appointment a couple days ago because I once again had some spotting and another blood clot :/ (I'm sorry TMI but it is what it is!!) The good thing is I think I may finally know what it causing it but the bad part is there isn't really anything I can do or the doctors can do to stop it. I found out everything is stemming from cervix and NOT the placenta or baby thank God! It sounds like I may have spotting and clots the rest of the pregnancy so I am just going to have to learn to not flip out every time. It's so hard not freaking out because 90% of the time Blood=miscarriage. Luckily in my case I am the rare one who will just have this be a part of my pregnancy! The other good news is I don't have to worry about bed rest of preterm labor either. I do, however, have to limit how much I am lifting because it is putting a little bit too much pressure down there causing some of the spotting. Mason is getting better and better at climbing the stairs now woohoo!
I am finally starting to feel the baby a TON. As I am typing she is going crazy in there. I have been going to a lot of garage sales and yard sales this week to find some needed baby items and furniture for babies room and the house. I found a really pretty hutch that a neighbor was selling for $20. I'm going to paint it white and bring it back to it's original beauty! I am starting to really miss my craft nights and painting days. Tomorrow I am heading to Old Navy to get Mason some more fall clothes and hit up a couple more garage sales selling baby girl stuff! I don't need a TON of stuff but sometimes it's nice getting a few cute clothes without having to spend a ton. I'm sure if I didn't shop smart I'd be spending around $1,000 in cute clothes for her! I hope you all have a great week and I promise to post some pics this week! :)

It's a Girl!!
I can't believe we are having a baby girl! I think I am still in a little bit of shock. A good shock though :) I really had NO idea this time around if it was a boy or girl! I think I was in protection mode of my feelings because I was having soooo many complications in the beginning it was hard to have that initial attachment. I think finding out the gender and seeing her all bouncy and happy in there is exactly what I needed. I already feel this incredible bond with her and I'm so happy she is safe.
Mandi came over yesterday so that Brandon and I could go to the ultrasound. I was shaking during the ultrasound which was really bizarre. The technician looked at me oddly and was like "you ok?" I told her I haven't had a "happy" ultrasound since my son and am still a little traumatized from the ectopic ultrasound I think. It's so weird how one bad memory can trigger you go to in panic mode. She was very sweet and went head to toe the first 30 seconds to assure me everything so far looked normal and that we would be having a GIRL. After all that, I quickly calmed down and envisioned this little princess that was going to be arriving in our lives!
I think my mom is looking out for me this week because I have had so many great things happen in the last few days. I received a job interview for a great company working with families of autistic kids. I would go into their homes and help provide strategies for communication barriers and behavior strategies. I received the best news ever that baby girl is doing great and my body has finally chilled out a bit…for now! :) I also had the most thoughtful texts, Facebook posts, and instagram messages that literally brought a smile to my face all day. Sometimes when you go through rough times it is really hard to see the good in things. I am finally digging out of that bad spot and starting to see life like I used to….and it's pretty great.
Brandon was driving by an antique shop yesterday and saw a sign for a yard sale. There were about 4 tents set up with tons of toys, clothes, antiques, and household items. He encouraged me to stop by and I'm sooooo glad I did! It was insane the amount of amazing things I found at this yard sale. I bought tons of clothes for myself, Mace, and baby! Some things even still had the original tags on them I couldn't believe it. Mason now has a new shopping cart he is obsessed with along with legos, ABC blocks, and wooden puzzles. The best find of all though was a Peg Perego car seat that had never been used! I looked it up on Amazon and saw that they were $329.99 brand new.( I would never pay that….ever!) I nervously asked the lady what she wanted for the car seat and she said $30. I quickly said…"SOLD!" It's one of the safest carseats on the market right now and incredibly durable. I am so excited I found it!
I wanted to thank all of you for being amazing people in my life! xoxo I am excited to start planning babies nursery and finalizing her name now too. I will keep you all posted of course. This post wouldn't be complete without baby Sev's first photoshoot and my little munchkin Mace face ;)
Anyone agree that toys made in the 80's and 90's are a MILLION times better made than toys now? Mason has been ramming this thing everywhere and it doesn't even have a scratch! Elmo is his "baby" while he shops.

Petoskey and baby sev
I am sorry I have been so bad at updating again! I promised myself I would be on top of things but sometimes weeks just get crazy. Mason has decided to skip naps here and there which doesn't give mom a lot of down time that's for sure.
This week was quite interesting! Mandi and I decided last minute to get together and bring the boys up to Petoskey to visit my grandma. The boys love seeing all the boats and water and their gammy. Mason especially enjoyed finding rocks and throwing them into the lake shore. It was AMAZING how many words Mason said over the week! He has finally mastered a lot of "B" words. He now says "boat, ball, deer, and leaf." I get so excited when he says words that I flip out and go a little crazy in excitement. People probably look at me like i'm crazy but it's just so exciting.
Mandi and I were brave and took the boys to the park and lunch in downtown Petoskey. Landon had a meltdown at the park and Mason decided since there weren't any meltdowns at the restaurant he was going to throw a major one there. It ended with Mandi and I rushing out of the restaurant and leaving a very generous tip to the waitress just so we could get out of there. I am pretty sure that will be my last time going out to dinner with little man for a LOOONNNNGGG time :) unless a grandma or dad is around to help out.
As you guys know, I announced at 18 weeks to everyone that I am pregnant. The reason I did this was because I went a whole month without any complications and had a great checkup with my doctor reassuring me things looked good. I have been doing great up until a few days ago on our last day in Petoskey. I woke up with the same weird issues…spotting but this time with pain. The pain reminded me of pain I had experienced when having Mason. Not quite as intense but similar. I called my OB who was 3.5 hours away and he said I would need to go to the E.R. right away to make sure it wasn't labor pains.
I went to the E.R. and was told they were going to check heartbeat, do an ultrasound, blood, and urine test to see what could be going on. First thing they did was heart rate for baby and luckily baby was ok in there. After checking me they found out that my cervix is having a hard time with the pressure from the pregnancy and I will likely have this issue on and off. Basically the less I am lifting and standing, the better off I will be this pregnancy. They also did an ultrasound to make sure baby was ok and the placenta was in good position. Baby was so wild in there! The ultrasound tech asked if I knew what I was having and I said I would find out in a few days. I don't want to spoil it because I am not 100% sure but I do think I know the sex of the baby now. At first the technician was like "The legs are crossed but if I had to guess I would say it's a _____. Oh wait! I think it's a _______. Yup i'm pretty sure now it's a _____. See if you can fill in the blank! My family is making fun of me that I won't tell them but what if this tech is wrong and everyone hears the wrong gender? That wouldn't be fun! I'm hoping Thursday baby cooperates so I don't hear 2 genders at once…scary!
I wish there was a person I knew who had a similar pregnancy like this. It's so frustrating feeling alone this time around. Mason's pregnancy was so easy compared to this one. I feel like best rest will be in my near future if this doesn't stop and I'm praying baby will be ok. I am the type of person who needs to know why for everything and in this situation I just need to throw my hands up and hope everything will be ok. Also, I want to say a special thanks to my grandma, Mandi, Brittany and Renee for being there for Mason and I while I had to go to the E.R. You ladies are the best.
This Thursday I will have my ultrasound which I am very excited about. I will be announcing the gender probably soon after. I wanted to incorporate Mason announcing it to everyone on video somehow but I haven't thought of a clever way yet. Hope you are all having a great week!
