I can't believe I'm in the final month of my pregnancy. Some days I feel like it has flown by and other times it feels like time is inching by! The last two weeks have been a little crazy because I decided to squeeze my six week real estate class into 4 weeks which made me SUPER busy! I will be finishing up class this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday then attending a couple of review sessions. After that I'm going to study my butt off and hopefully pass with my license before baby! A lady in class already offered me a position if I want to take it in the fall selling homes in a retired community right next to my neighborhood. I'm not sure what I am going to do with my license yet but it's nice to know there's opportunities out there to make money.
I am getting so ready for this little guy to make his arrival! I had a doctor appointment last week (and for every week here on out) and he said that I am not dilated but my cervix is thinning. I have been feeling a lot of pressure and some sharp shooting pains still which he said are all normal and will help me progress during labor stages so that's all good news! I'm a little nervous because my doctor is on vacation for 2 weeks...hang inside a little longer baby Sev!
Brandon and I have been doing some projects for the baby's nursery this week. We still aren't completely finished with the room but we're making progress! Here are a few of the projects we did over the weekend. I also covered my first cushion...it was easier than I thought!
My friend Stephanie is super talented and made me some cute designs for the room too! I'm so excited to get them printed and use them as wall art. Thanks again Stephy! I also have to finish the rocking chair and make him some owls of course.
Today I got to spend some time with my friend Stacie. She asked me to take pictures of her with her dog so we went to a cute little park by my house:
She has the cutest and sweetest pup ever! Glad I could take a picture of them for her parents wall! :) We finished the day with laying out by the pool, jimmy johns, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and a pedicure! It was a great day!
Bran took a picture of my belly at 36 weeks last Friday and I must say I'm feeling enormous. I've gained 35lbs and the scale keeps going up each day! I don't really feel sad about it..more of a Holy crap feeling...lol. I hope you all have a great week!
My face pretty much tells you how I'm feeling these days...nervous and excited!

35 weeks....getting so close!
Today’s Date: Monday, June 18th,
2012. This would have been my grandpa’s 78th birthday today…Miss you
everyday gramps!
How far along: 35 weeks and 3 days!
Eek I’m late on posting..sorry!
Maternity
Clothes: I LOVE not having to
wear work clothes right now! I basically live in stretchy pants, dresses, and
even let my belly hang in non maternity shirts! lol
Sleep: Last week my sleep
wasn’t so great but the past few nights I’ve been so tired I just pass right out!
I have been sleeping with a body pillow between my legs which has really
helped. I also don’t even wear bed sheets or a comforter which is so weird for
me not to do!!
Best
moments of the week: My week consisted of class, more class, studying, and cleaning…but oddly
enough my favorite part of the week was class…It feels good to be learning
about something I’m excited about again J Hopefully it will bring
us opportunities in the future! It was also nice having dinner and seeing a
movie with my old roomie! J
Movement: He’s a wiggle worm. I
think he’s getting squished in there though L Poor lil guy.
Food
cravings: I’m
still dealing with the weird ice craving and anything with chocolate J
Morning
Sickness: No
but I wake up with terrible headaches lately…ahh!
Symptoms: I could
probably write in here for days J lol. Back aches,
stretching pains in my belly, headaches, fatigue, pelvic pain (new symptom and
not pleasant) heartburn is now coming on too!
Labor signs: I have been having
some shooting pains in my “woman area” (sorry trying to not gross everyone out)
so I think maybe some Braxton hicks coming on in that area.
Belly
button: It’s out some days and
other days it’s not! weird
What I
miss:
Feeling cute
in my clothes! Sleeping on my stomach, running, and having energyJ
What I’m
looking forward to: Finishing my classes (2 more weeks!), hopefully passing my
real estate exam, finishing baby Sev’s room, my sister and mom coming out, and baby Sev's arrival of course!
I wish I
had some exciting updates this week. I have been a really boring person lately!
Lol. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that my focus is on finishing
up my classes in time for baby and not doing a whole lot else. This weekend Brandon
and I are going to focus on finishing up the babies room and do some late
spring cleaning! Hope you all are doing well. Here are a few projects I
squeezed in last week for baby Sev’s room!
| His first toys! :) I found the little crate at JoAnns and made the M with some cute paper. I'm sure he'll love digging in here next summer :) |

34 weeks! or 8.5 months!
Hey family and friends! I am proud of myself that I am actually updating my blog on time this week. This week has been really good for me! I started my real estate classes on Wednesday and found a way to finish in 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks! I was getting nervous because originally my last class would end on my due date which is not good! Doing the class in 4 weeks will give me enough time to hopefully pass the class and state exam and be done in time for baby Sev. Cross your fingers for me!
Brandon and I went to our 34 week appointment yesterday and everything was measuring well. My blood pressure keeps getting better and better and little man is head down and ready for action in the next month! It was funny too because two weeks ago his heartbeat was at 140bpm and this week it was 120bpm. The doctor goes "oh yeah it's a boy for sure" haha. That confirmation felt good especially since it's boy central over here!
Today Brandon and I went on a lunch date to Chilis and to see the movie "what to expect when expecting". It was kind of embarrassing walking into the theater 8.5 months pregnant (It's a movie joking about pregnancy) but after looking around I realized I was 1 of about 10 preggo chicks in there. The movie was hilarious by the way and I highly recommend seeing it!
I'm feeling pretty enormous and hot these days. I think about 3 times a day I say to myself "I wish I was in Michigan right now." I don't think anyone can truly understand what 110 feels like until you are in it! Bring pregnant and dealing with it is not fun and I'm nervous to see what our electric bill is this month...eek! I just keep reminding myself that it's ok to chill out once in awhile even though it's kinda tough for me! I hope you all have a great week and don't forget to keep in touch I miss you all! Here are just a couple of pics from this week:
Both boys stuck their tongue out at me...I am going to be very out numbered soon!
Holy Belly!

Watch what you say! Your curious baby is listening in to your conversations at 34 weeks -- and might enjoy a lullaby or two -- so go ahead and sing to him. Some say that baby will recognize songs mom sings while he’s in the womb, and may even be more easily soothed by them if he’s used to them once he’s on the “outside.” At week 34, you might breathe a little easier, since baby may descend lower into your pelvis and give your lungs some space. (Ahh!) Of course, some babies don’t do this until the day they’re born, so we’re not making any guarantees. The pitfall of this descent, of course, is even more pressure on your bladder, so be prepared to make even more trips to the ladies room over the coming weeks.
Your baby's the size of a butternut squash!
At less than two months to go, he weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches.
Share this with family and friends
your baby at 34 weeks
- He's recognizing and reacting to simple songs, if you're singing them. (If you're not, start! He may find them soothing after birth.)
- He's also urinating about a pint a day.

33 weeks!
Hey family and friends! I hope you are enjoying the start of June. I have been off of work for a week now and I've gotten so much accomplished. I cleaned out the babies room finally, sewed some fun pillows for the house, threw my friend a fun bridal shower at my house, and cleaned tons and tons! I've also had some fun swimming in the pool and enjoying this time off. Brandon has also been doing some fun projects around the house...we both like to keep busy working on things around here!
Last night I had a really strange pregnancy symptom. I was lying in bed with really bad heartburn and I felt the baby moving a TON. It felt like he was digging into my pelvis and everytime he moved I felt a really sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It got so painful that I ended up looking up the number to the maternity ward triage in case Brandon and I had to make a run there to see what was happening. It was so painful! After researching a little online, it sounds like it may have been a mixture of Braxton Hicks contractions along with the baby hitting a nerve in my lower pelvic region. Apparently it can be VERY painful and mistaken for labor. I'm glad I know what the pain feels like in case this happens again! Yikes!
Another weird pregnancy symptom I've had the last month is an obsession for ice cubes! Brandon was getting freaked out because everytime I get a glass of water or juice I fill it up completely with crushed ice then add a little liquid to it. I think about ice all the time! Brandon jokingly googled "ice cravings during pregnancy" and the word Pica came up. Pica is the need to eat things that aren't food substances like ice, mud, clay, soap, ...ew! Alot of women who experience pica have really low iron. Strangely enough I did have a really low iron count and I'm taking a supplement each day. I really hope that I can stop this craving because I haven't been able to stop eating ice...eek! If I start eating mud I think it's time for an intervention....lol.
I think I've mentioned this before but this summer I am going to take a 6 week course to get my real estate licenese. Brandon and I both talked and although this isn't going to be something I can do right away, I'm hoping after teaching for another year and doing real estate on the side I can build up a small little business so that someday I can do it full time. Wish me luck I'm nervous! Hope all is well with everyone and I can't wait to see some of you this summer once baby comes :)
Here are a few photos from the week....Baby room sneak peak (after a run to ikea with a friend!) and Bran's projects too.
Baby Sev is already 4 or more pounds now....can you believe it? Can't wait to meet the little man!!!
